Governor Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi of Enugu State has inaugurated the lately constituted six-man Administrative Panel of Inquiry into Ugwuaji land dispute in Enugu South Native Authorities Space of the state.
Inaugurating the panel, which is being chaired by Chief James Ikeyi, SAN, Gov. Ugwuanyi, who was represented by the Secretary to the State Authorities, Prof. Simon Uchenna Ortuanya, acknowledged that the choice was in line with the unflinching dedication of the state authorities to maintain the enduring peace within the state for political and socio-economic growth to proceed to thrive.
The governor maintained that “no enterprise or funding can thrive in any society with out satisfactory peace and safety of lives and property”.
He, due to this fact, directed that “all claims to, and/or actions on the disputed parcels of land ought to stop forthwith till last submission of panel’s report and state authorities’s disposal motion on the matter”.
Responding on behalf of the members, the Chairman of the panel, Chief Ikeyi, thanked Gov. Ugwuanyi for locating them worthy to serve the state in that capability and promised him that they may discharge their duties creditably, with out concern or favour.

He added that “submission of Memorandum ends on Tuesday, fifteenth September, 2020”.
Different members of the panel are: Main-Normal Godwin Ugwoke (Rtd), Prof. Daniel Nwachukwu, Mr. Godwin Ishiwu (Surveyor-Normal, Enugu State) and Barr. Chudi Ozokolo.
