Kaduna: Judicial Commission of Inquiry submits report on Kajuru crisis to El-Rufai

The Justice Isa Aliyu-led Fee of Inquiry into the crises in Kajuru, Kachia and Chikun Native Authorities Areas of Kaduna State has submitted its report back to Gov. Nasir El-Rufai on Thursday.

This was contained in an announcement signed by Muyiwa Adekeye, Particular Adviser to the Governor on Media and Communication, issued to newsmen in Kaduna.

El-Rufai pledged that the federal government will promptly research the report and take into account the suggestions.

The governor thanked members of the fee for his or her laborious work and contributions to serving to the federal government to resolve the matter.

He defined that the state authorities arrange the judicial fee of inquiry to find out all of the details across the violent battle with the intention to construct sustainable peace within the space.

Information Company of Nigeria (NAN) reviews that the 10-member judicial fee of inquiry was constituted by the federal government in April 2019.

It was mandated to research, confirm and establish the rapid and distant causes of all cases of disturbances from 2017 to this point in Chikun, Kajuru and Kachia LGAs and surrounding communities.

“Establish people, conventional and spiritual establishments and different associations which may have contributed to the build-up of the disturbances and advocate additional motion by the federal government.

“Assess, decide and set up the extent of lack of lives and property and different types of harm brought on throughout the disturbances and establish the perpetrators of the dastardly acts for additional motion by the federal government.

“Make every other suggestions to the federal government consequential to or associated to all or any these phrases of reference.

“Within the gentle of the fee’s findings, advocate acceptable authorized and different actions to be taken in opposition to these liable for the disturbances.

“Make acceptable suggestions to the federal government on steps to be taken to forestall future incidence of the disturbances.”
